The rats population
The disease bringer of death
Once it happened in history
Now we seem to forget
The hawkers' stalls
Growing in abundance
The way it is handled
Hygiene goes the wrong way
The enforcement officials
Sitting cool in the office
They don't conduct regular checks
They just want to get easy pay
Even in housing estates
The drains the nests of the rats
Slowly the population multiply
The clogged rains and kitchen food left over
The agency officials must wake up
Slumbering isn't the way to solve a problem
Now to act and maintain a high standard
Get the whip start lashing for action!
