the filial duty

You go on a journey
You have a family
You settle down
Raise one for yourself

You feel good
Like your parents
The decades that had before
Of a life full of laughter

Children came and gone
Age came the wrinkles flow
The lines of many on the face
The years had passed.......

Now you look at yourself
Alone with the thoughts
Of the years swiftly gone away
The children have different priorities

Some forget about filial duty
Gone were days of Confucianism
They children forget of their parents
Old folks home the old aged group together

On their twilight years
They may sing good songs
They may regret to bring children to this world
Using up their saving nothing to prepare for old

Life is full of sacrifices
You never know the returns
As long as you have done your best
Doing the good deeds you shouldn't have regrets
