who is to blame?

The rain keep falling
The eyes of sorrow and fear
The water rising as blockage occurs
Causing damages to properties
Taking lives for the unlucky ones
The floods are coloured blind
It affects everyone staying on its path
The headaches it causes in our lives

The water pathways are gone
Buried forever under buildings and homes
The waterway routes of the past
It isn't there to feed the rising tides
Blame it on developments
Blame is on past administration
The water will not listen
The floods will cause our losses

The evacuation will be carried out
Ferrying the affected residents to higher ground
Waiting it out in community halls or tents
Watching the rain praying hard to stay away
But floods will rise as the ancient routes are lost

Nature has told us many decades ago
Stay within the boundary don't get overboard
The developers and government don't listen
To destroy Nature gifts to balance the ecology
So we will suffer for causing the imbalance

Who is to blame now?
