If we sit quietly
Sipping tea or coffee
Talking in coffee shops
Loudly in hawkers' stalls
Life will seem free
Sharing jokes or criticising each other
Of our dressing or products we buy
Like all the ordinary days of our lives
Only when we touch on politics
The heated fire will start to flare
The double standards in enforcement
The agencies will pick and choose
The police will make their own report
For a case to be investigated
That too base on the importance of the case
Most of the times the police wait for report
Sabah and Sarawak
They decide who can visit or deport
The Federal Government has no say
The judges will stick to the contract law
If we don't ponder about politics
Life will be an easy flow everyday
It is the politicians causing the division
Put a label on the can but they forget they are too
