the pressures of education

Too much rote examinations
Too much pain in the brain
The young minds sometimes adults
They get wired on the wrong roads

Education a gateway to earn a living
Something to fall on when one searching to make history
In the long line of others pursuing monetary value
Yet in the drama in schools everyday
In institution of higher learning
You find the pressures cooking hard in their brains

When they can’t take failures any more
They think of ways to escape
The tragedy of a life
Too much examinations isn’t worth the time

Look at the young students
Carrying heavy loads on their backs
As if they are carrying loads of gold
The pressures to score A’s
It is the measurement of their success
What a pitying lesson to learn!
The teachers and parents should be blame
And not forgetting the education system
Still stuck in the mode of rote learning
Sitting examinations to prove your worth
So in the end what do we have?
Educational zombies walking the streets

I was of that system decades ago
I learned a lot outside the classroom
Schooling must be fun and easy
Let the young minds explore and experiment
Teach them how to think and pose questions
Teach them how to fish in the rivers and seas
Let them feel the environment
And the chirping sound of happiness
