freedom price to pay

The black people
Suffering through history
Ravished on the land
Punished by the warlords

In modern history
Shipped as slaves
Toiling day and night
Freedom was hollow

In the new world
They thought they could change
They suffered in the fields
They suffered in domestic abuses

Then they were free
Standing tall freedom soared
Yet they know it's a long way home
On different lands of white and brown

In the modern world
Freedom extracts unnecessary sacrifices
The army in the African continents
Use them to lord over

Now malaria and HIV
Spreading through the African nations
They thought they are free
Unwanted viruses come to claim

The lives of the Black
The suffering of many
Of the army and warlords
They are in vicious cycle
