the hawking big birds

The loud chirping of the small birds
Around the garden as the gate opened
On the bamboo plants were the black and yellow birds
These birds hawking the nests

By the time help arrived
It was too late to save the eggs
One egg smashed to the floor
Some parts eaten by the big birds

The humming birds eggs were saved
It nest on the high portion of the bamboo plant
There the eggs escaped the vultures
Will the big birds return tomorrow?

Now the normalcy return
The birds' nests birds sitting on it
Will the hawking birds come again?
Tomorrow will tell
