hook on to power

Hook on to power

You don't want to let go

You will feel small

Without power in your hand

Throughout the 2,500 years ago

Many fought for power to command

They knew of wealth; harem and slaves

Nobody couldn't say no and walked away

Even if they walked away

There could be alternatives for them

Positions and marriage to rich and powerful

They could stand proud basking in power too

In the modern world

The people have the power in votes

But many have pawned for money

Let the politicians hold to power and wealth
