In democracy
We elect our leaders
To perform duties for country
To assist the people to live in contentment
Yet it never works out that way
We are always conned with their slogans and speeches
After every election we read and see our stupidity
And now the leaders work their way
The government passed the Peaceful Assembly Bill
It is basically to control the masses on street protests
All the established arenas are controlled by its appointed agents
You think you will easily get the permits to rally?
The leaders we elected betraying our trust
We put them there to govern on our rights
When they get to sit on the seat of power
They forget the people who put them there
Now they want to implement the IT Bill
Though we know it is free and guaranteed
The leaders feel the fear of the cyber world
They want to control every aspect of it
Besides we still have the draconian laws
Nothing has changed in the spirit of democracy
The ministers say they have done for the good of the country
Somehow we feel they walk out through the back door
GE13 must be the Waterloo
Let the change begins
Let the smile and light be our journey
Else we can forget our change
