don't bring religion into politics

The history of the past
It never fails to run its show
One of them is the religious row
Of a time we think we are progressive

The time of the Crusades
How many had died believing of a cause?
The dead in history
The reasons were so blurry

Now we hear it again
The religious attacks by the fanatics
The extremists view of other religions
They forget to say“ we are all God's children!”

So the drumbeats of history
It sings its melody of sadness
The confusion of the fanatics
They think they do God a favour

God is watching
Growing impatient of our antics
The angels are collecting evidence
We better wake up before it is too late

The fanatics write their own songs
Laying the false hope to many
Believing of the good life
When they are led to die for nothing

Learn from the Crusades
The mistakes the past did
Tolerance the way of life
We can live to disagree

In common goals we should unite
Don't bring religion into politics
It has no place to argue
It is a private affair: the faithful and God
