the unwanted cat

In the late night
When the traffic had slowed
When the houses around the area
The lights switched off

Leaving the dim street lights
Shining in the quiet night
Of warm breezes stroking along
Maybe counting the houses

The white and grey cat came
Sneaking like a robber in the night
Sniffing his way to find his spot
He just wanted to irritate...

The cat slept on the shoe rack
Leaving the mark of cat's hairs
Letting the owner saw it in the morning
Hah! You thought I couldn't come in!”

In the morning the owner saw
The culprit of the cat came
It was the only mark the cat left behind
To tell his presence in the night
