don't blame God for our tragedy

The man sat on the debris
Of his house lost and personal belonging
Looking sad with tears in his eyes
He knew it would be a long while
He wasn't the only
There are many like him
Going home after the floods receded
The mopping up and putting back their lives

The losses may run into billions
When the costs finally totaled up
The floods politics will come to play
It has been going around already

The volunteers came
Braving themselves to help
The floods brought us together
A common tragedy a common platform

Don't blame God of our tragedy
This is our greed destroying nature
The warnings issued to us
We have to change to move forward
