Shops close as owners can't make it

Some say rental increase and GST

Making business will be hard to get by

The shoplots in the malls

Cost of doing business will be high

With the current trend in the country

The economy isn't looking rosy

Even the hawkers will tell

It is hard to make ends meet

But they will increase selling price

Driving away more customers instead

They say they can't help it

Costs have gone up

So they need to play the game

While the government leaders tell a different story

Yet they are afraid of the shadows lurking behind

When opponents criticise them on their handling

They send the police to monitor the opponents

As if to show how tough they are in it?

The economy isn't sailing smoothly

There are grouses on the ground

The government ministers better shape up

Take charge and work on it
