We mustn't forget our roots
It is where we came from our generations
We don't come from thin air do we?
Admit our roots and stay free without guilt
Many will try to forget
The roots of their humble beginning
They will try to cover it up
Drawing pictures of their present time
Some forget their skin
Using religion to say a different tune
The strumming may be different
The keys will follow a similar pattern
We have to remember our roots
It is the foundation of how we will stand
Don't let karma unleash her venom
We will live to regret
