staring at the exit door

The rats running scared
As the water rushing to their hideout
They climb up walls and holes
Eyes of sorrow tails of cold

Down in the damp corridor
They rush in conference in whisper
“What now? What now?”
There are no nets to hide

Nature has attacked
The angry flow of water
There is no way to hide
The water rising up to close the holes

The rats running scared
The rows and rows of scary souls
They don't look backward now
They want to abandon their homes

On the streets they behave
The cats pretend not to see
For a while the rats live
Before the humans battling with it
