walking marriages

Walking marriages
In the hilly villages of China
The Moso people where they live with their own traditions
The women hold the reign of the family

These women have many lovers
No man has the right of abode
It's the women who would decide
The warm of the nights

Life up the hilly mountain
The women will toil the land
They keep the family moving
Planting cash crops, poultry and farming

Of children the women decide
Who are the men to bed in the nights
They make their choices no quarrel
The men understand singing, wine and bed times

Life in simplicity
The women hold their own dignity
Women of maturing will invite own lovers
Nothing to be ashamed nothing to worry
