blues of the hills
Once
it was a cool living
Now
the illegal clearing of land
The
people of the hills
They
shouldn't wait for the authorities to act
They
better keep a watch amongst themselves
Band
it together to save the hills
They
should know by now
The
authorities are slow to enforce
Only
when it is front page news
The
heads will give excuses
The
pro-active ways
It
is only in lip services

wonder the highland people sing
