what ills the country?

What ills the country?
We seem to have it no end
We hear and read so often
The ringing is bad in our ears

The racist leaders and their statements
They just want to show how racial they are
They don't ask a question
What are they?

The dengue fever
The years the lives lost
The solutions aren't found
There is nc cure for it

It takes about 10 minutes
Walk around the garden or compound
Clean out the used containers holding water
Keep the surrounding areas tidy

The haze still makes a return
Every year since 1997
Too many tea-breaks and communication
Nothing is done to arrest its bad hazard

Don't talk about the police
They see who you are and which party
They are suppose stay way from politics
But they act with favours

Don't talk about judges
Swear on the Constitution
But they can't act alone
They have compromise their profession

The judges who are professional
Follow the rule of law and Constitution
They will not progress very far
They will have to learn the hard way

We hear about the coalition partners
Representing each race in the nation
What the leaders do when race bashing rise?
They stay quiet let the small boys make the noise

Sometimes the boys make police report
What will be the outcome of it?
Open a file and investigate
It will take months finally say no case

Like the case of Ali Tinju
Charged on sedition
A few months later the charge dropped
Citing not enough evidence

While youtube has the streaming video
What he said was seditious...
Of course the coalition partners making noise
That's about all the leaders can say

Now we have rabid dogs
Some protest loudly on culling the dogs
What are they thinking?
This is damaged control

We can't allow the disease to spread
They should encourage the dog owners or breeders
Go vaccinate their pets to avoid the rabies
They should help instead of protesting

On the Sunday of hazy white clouds
Our lives struggle through the day
Racists explore moderates stay on course
But the current regime must change before we all collapse
