one by one the old will disappear

One by one the old will disappear
Bite the dust where we will return
The souls fly away the hosts leave to decay
Into the realm of memories the old leave behind

Nothing will stay forever
We will have the fix time
We can't argue; we can't ignore
The day we are born; the day we will die

Even structures of buildings or monuments
They too will be pulled down in time of change
Some leaders may not like the old to stand their way
They rather have new ones put up for all to see

But the old will know
They have their times and memories
They can't say what the next generation will do
They only hope to be remembered
