Death and Resurrection

Something everyone holds in belief

Every religion or paganism will tell

The paradise world is out there

Our bodies are the hosts

The souls dwell it for a fixed time

Until the appointed time in a life

Then the souls will leave; the bodies decay

The cycle will repeat

Born and Death but Resurrection?

But so far nobody has returned

Only buried underground or burned to ashes

Sometimes I wonder in my mind

Maybe religions are the best con job of all

It tricks billions into believing it

Maybe we all don't want to disappear

Only Jesus seems to return

The Christians will say he has

But the Holy Quran says he isn't

The Cross is a pagan symbol before Jesus

Religions are belief

On each individual to say

It is a good and a bad way

We have seen how religions are used

Death is a sure thing

The graveyards will tell its story

Resurrection is still a mystery

As we walk on Earth and live
