in the market place

In the market place
The crowd of people
Men, women, boys and girls
Even dogs and cats

The drumbeats of voices
The high and low in the open
You have to stay and listen
Listening to the gold

Every stall has sales
Good or bad it never matter
The crowd want to make it full
The first meal in the morning

The drinks men and women
They can't stay still around
They are rushing filling up cups
The crowd keep arriving

The enforcement officers
They come for their breakfast
They aren't checking the place
With rubbish throwing everywhere

In the market place
Cars parking all the spaces
Across the market the recreation park
The women doing the morning exercise

In the market place
The voices of high and low
You have to stay behind to listen
Listening to the gold
