the river flows

The river flows
The debris it brings
Floating with all kinds
Sometimes the dead too
Little by little the dirty swells
The smell isn't sweet no more
It smells of decay in the water and mind
The dead fishes floating up eyes staring wild
What it is? They all seemed to say
The humans have forgotten to take care of the land
They bring destructions from the hills to the river
In the religious places of worships
Many will attend and pray for tomorrow
Out of the praying sessions
They fail to see the sins in their eyes
The dirty and dead water in the river
They don't take immediate actions
They think nature will take care herself

But the rain fall in late night
Bringing more yellow mud and debris
Clogging the river mouth
Rising the water flooding the town
There is a lesson to learn
Don't forget responsibility
Nature expects us to take
The full measures on the land
We can't ignore our sins
It will come to claim back
Nature will not stand its way
The sins of our days must be paid

The river flows
The course still remains
We shouldn't forget
We will have to pay
The old stories will return
