Sure the police will do the rounds

They drive by along the roads

They should stop and hang around

For a few minutes before they drive on

The crooks know the routine

They will know the car numbers too

They will know who will be on rotation

The crooks aren't playing the fools

Day or night think of standing alert

Put the ears in high sound range

We don't want to get cornered
