the cats and dogs

The cats and dogs
The running around the back lanes
Chasing each other
Breathing hard on the run

Jumping over fences
Barking and meowing in heated exchanges
Facing each other claws out in the open
You think you can beat me?”

The head of animals
He never catches cats and dogs
He throws water hoping he solves it
But the cats and dogs clawing in the back lanes

The loud bickering
It cracks the wall of silence
The children and adults join hands
Shooting water and pebble stones

The cats and dogs stop bickering
Finally realize who are the feeders
It isn't the head of animals
It is the people staying around
