the turtle games

Anwar Ibrahim used street demonstrations
In his way where he knew he was at his best
Pulling the masses to support his cause
When he was sacked as deputy prime minister

On a charge most knew was to get him out of the way
He established the Reformasi movement to change the Bee Anne
Through the years Amno baru leaders are afraid of him
Once he was their deputy president; once their colleagues

Until he was charged again on sodomy 2
Until he is sent to Bamboo river
Only then Amno baru leaders can breathe a little easy
Yet Anwar's shadow still looming over them

But with Muhyiddin he didn't go to lock horns
He learned a bit of history of force against force
He played his mind games to stack his cards
Let the other party worry what he is planning to do

A man of his seasoned experiences
He plays the turtle game plotting his way
He doesn't need to get in a hurry
He has the time to pick his day

But we will watch the scenes
The key players will tell their lies
They have to look in the mirrors
What they see they dare not tell
