The aging

The nation must
wake up to it
There is no
reason to delay
It has to come
one day
In a decade or
so
The aging
population of the baby boomers
Some may
struggle to live
Some may be on
social welfare schemes
The family
members can’t help much
They have their
own families to care
It is now the
nation’s woes
If the
government forgets to set up homes
Maybe the
housing developers
They should be
tasked to build such homes
Within the
compound of the housing schemes
Pay through the
common fund collections
The baby boomers
have contributed
It is time the
nation should find ways to help them
It will be a sad
episode indeed
If the country
fails to address the aging population
