THE BLACK DOG RISING

borrowed www.flickr.com(Mr J.Jay)

The black dog rising
On the hill it barks loudly
Eyes full of hate
Barking all day
When food never arrives

He smells his throne
The aroma of greed and power
The big fat bitch snorting away
Feeling good his black dog rules

The other dogs know
The black dog holds the key
Give him the support he needs
Into the gravy train of bones and meat

The dog catchers wait
Sleeping on job snoring away
They don’t hear the barking
They have been bought
With honey and smell of new mint
Dreaming the life of luxuries
Of birds, waterfall and streams

The black dog rising
The feverish digging begins
Barking orders tightly holding the reins
For the throne is near
Smelling the aroma of bones
And the gravy train full of it
