the elder and his young crowd 6

Dark -Village

The elder and his young crowd

After dinner late in the night

Of dim light shadowy trees

Telling his tales of the night creatures

Smoking his pipe he narrates his tales

"The daughter can't believe a word

She thinks she is imagining it in the dim light

The face looks so familiar yet she can't believe"

The dogs barking in the silence

It jolts the young listeners eyes sharp in the night

The howling travels into their ears as the smoking pipe burning

The cloudy smoke floating into the night sky

"The daddy sits down with her

She can't take it straight in her mind

She knows her mother died in mysteriously way

One day when she went into the secondary forest"

The howling wind whispering along

The night shadows dancing with the wind

The elder smokes his pipe blowing up signals

The young crowd gather closer to listen

"She was dead lying face down

Found by the villagers looking for her

She was white as chalk as drained out of blood

The villagers said she was cursed"

"So what happened to her?"

"She was quickly buried in the family plot

No funeral services ever conducted for her poor soul

The family members gathered saying their last goodbyes"

"Children better come home now

It is already late in the night......."

"I will continue telling my tales

I see you all at my place tomorrow"
