The
old Klang bridge
In
the wee hour of the morning
There
was no traffic on the pedestrian crossing
Occasionally
there were lovers hugging along
Who
would see the action on the wee morning?
It
was only the lucky few who returned home late
There
they would find the hormones charged lovers
They
forgot where they were...
In
those days I was told
The
bylaws were hardly used
The
lovers could indulge a little snack
With
the sound of the river cry
Besides
there were the homeless
There
were the drunkards sleeping on the pavement
The
cooling effect of the night
Even
the sun rays were shaded away
The
old Klang bridge as I knew
The
memories of those times gone
Now
it is just a landmark in town
When
you see it you hear the echo of the past
