They need it for the costs have gone up

They are humans like everybody else

They need to pay their bills and loans

Though they work for many hours

Right through the nights too

When Selangor did it her way

Some quarters disagreed

They said it was too high an adjustment

Running into many folds

Selangor has done well

Through the management of Pakatan

The representatives should be congratulated

The pay hikes for them to work even harder

Now the Federal Government under Bee Anne

The study for salaries and allowances hike

The committee has recommended the raise

When the mismanagement has not settled

Only the ordinary Joe and Jane

What will they have to tide them over?

They have to pull their resources

Though pockets empty at times of the year

The crunch has to come

The cost of living will be high

The inflation will bite into it

This is the reality in everyday living
