Charity we are told when young
It should start at home before we see
Everybody beyond our focus
Let our own have charity from us
As we grow older
Watching the tales unfold
We will see the difference
When adults walk on the scene
The politicians will shout
Helping others beyond our shore
They want publicity and recognition
Back home there is no publicity
Charity is a noble cause
Give it to where it should begin
Help our own before we think of others
The politicians don't see
They want publicity
Scoring points for politics
Leaving our own crying for help
It will take a long time and empty promises
