assault on Ayu in Malacca

According to our constitution – the supreme law of this country signed upon our independence – ‘no person shall be punished for an act or omission which was not punishable by law when it was done or made, and no person shall suffer greater punishment for an offence than was prescribed by law at the time it was committed’ (Article 7).

The religious department in Malacca assaulted a male-female transsexual Ayu on 30/7/07. These officials should be sacked. According to the basic law no one is guilty until...............but it never happens in this case. I had read many reports about the religious officials over-stepped their boundaries of civil courtesy. These officials should understand the law and religion. But what these people do, Islam cries for their souls. I mean they should act according to the basic human necessity. Treat people with kindness; one will be rewarded manifolds. In the Holy Bible it says 'Love thy neighbors..................' Islam too must go back to the roots in Torah and the Holy Bible because it is also God's commands. The wrong perception here is every faith believes in his/her religion forgetting that it comes from the same source. In one nutshell, every faith has sinned right from the beginning. So do these officials sin free acting and assaulting on a transsexual person? They should be charged accordingly on their actions. And what will happen to the many Ayu in our midst? Do the officials think they want to behave like that? Give them a choice they want to be what they are to be. Living half way here or there, it is already hard for these people yet we have officers compounding their wounds deeper. Maybe God/Allah testing our faith and compassion. If He is really doing it, man we have failed.
