HAS THE POLICE TRAINED FOR IT?

New digital equipments for the Police. This high tech booster will cost the taxpayers something like billions ringgit. Is the police force ready for the challenge? As it is now, the force should learn the basic of how to handle police reports (I still read reports about police officer reluctant to accept reports in his station and directs the public to the station where the crime is committed. The IGP had said that all police officers must accept reports irrespective of where the crimes are committed. Yet the public is directing around. Somehow I feel the order has not been carried out at all.) There is much bashing for the police force that it has to clean up its image before it thinks of going digital equipments. Currently the basic humans interaction to me is rather weak. The force needs to bring the public to accept what they are doing. The worst is the corruption breeding ground. Dont be like that of the other agency which spent over $200 millions for softwares yet it was never used. As the Auditor General reported the staff arent trained to use it. So it is back to manual work for these officers. Likewise the police officers must be well trained to handle the digital equipments and know how to repair it too. And the company handling the job must be well known in the field. It can't be linked to crony here and there. Before the IGP wants to introduce something new, he should clean up the police force. As I said earlier, police report by the public is running around. This direct order is not even carried out. I dont want to think about the project costing billions ringgit..
