The Sedition Act

It stays too long in our lives

Once it was necessary

During the birth of the nation

Now the web of strings

It has served its usefulness

It has now become the tool

The silence of the critics

Besides it is used to cage

The opposition members with prosecution

Unfairly used to block threats to its rule

The government of the day wants the law

The seditious articles of pro-government cronies

The sedition act hardly used to silence them

Nothing is done to cage them into custody

There is the elegant silence by the authority

It has to work both way

It can't be closing one eye to another

The people will not tolerate injustice

By law every one should be treated equally
