ask for forgiveness but forget to repent

Praying on the holy land

They hope to get cleanse of their sins

On the holy land in white

They think they will go to heaven

When the minds aren't pure

When the minds always think of wealth

When the minds can't forget about the glitter

It isn't going to happen on the holy land

It is always said in the scriptures

The poor and beggars are much easier to go

They don't think of the grand stage of life

They struggle to get their lives by

When the Lord asks them to throw away wealth

They will gladly do it and follow Him

Walking behind him to the gate of Heaven

But not the rich and powerful in this world

Praying on the holy land

It takes the purest souls and minds

Don't go there to brag about it

Ask for forgiveness but forget to repent

The Lord will listen

The angels will record

In the pages of our lives

We can't escape even when we say goodbye
