The
fish head swims
In
the murky water to hide
The
preying eyes of the stray cats
Watching
its every movements
The
barking dogs will guard
The
eyes red with snarling long teeth
It
tells they aren't to be played with
The
barking dogs will protect its interests
The
fat free bones
The
barking dogs take along
An
exchange for the luxury
Even
though it is crumb
The
road sweepers will chase away
The
stray cats courting near the pond
There
is no way the road sweepers will allow
The
cats waste making them cursing hot and dry
The
fish head splashes up and down
The
simple way of buying freedom
In
the murky water nobody knows
What
hide there at the bottom?
