The poor will always struggle
Climbing up the social ladder
Even if they make it there
The background will tell on them
This is the society we lived
Democracy is just a word to say
Voting rights and labor unions
Laws and rules or regulations
The power in the hand
The way the society has to abide
Leaving the poor finding hard to climb
The ladder of success in democracy
The old rules hide in democracy
In Islamic countries they use religion to suppress
The society of rich and poor and royalty
It is the power which makes the difference
