It doesn't want to go away
Leaving the nation in tears
Of those politicians hungry for it
The best years could be
Tunku Abdul Rahman's reign
There was freedom everywhere
Floor shows in nightclubs
Not forgetting Rose Chan antics
Everyone wanted to watch her shows
It was free expression even in entertainment
The authorities never raided these premises
It was all gone
When next prime minister came
Slowly the old 2R game walked in
One claimed it all are theirs
The nation can only cry
These politicians forget history
This nation had been conquered many times
Even Siam had a hand in it too
Yet today we still hear
The old 2R game hitting in the air
The lessons of the past they don't learn
Only waiting to be conquered by economic means
