WHERE IS CONSCIOUS OH MEN IN BLUE?

Men in blue
Don’t act unfairly
Choose and pick your victims
It isn’t the way to go

The innocents you try
Intimidation and shouting at them
Putting them in jail
You think you do a good job?

Where is your conscious?
Where is the right to disagree?
Innocents gather for a reason
To make the country free of corruption
Of undue influence and close one eye

Don’t you see it?
Unless you are in
The greed of power
The innocents your playground
And crimes go free

Men in blue
Do the honor of your badge and uniform
Don’t go breaking peoples’ hearts
Let us be fair and human
Let peace have a chance

JERIT

Jerit on the highway
Jerit on the trunk roads
They pedal furiously
Flowing with the wind

In their minds
They know they do
A good cause to highlight
The oppressed happenings in the country

Then the Jerit hears
The men in blue stopping and catching
Picking them up for no other reason
No permit no gathering

Cycling in the country
For a cause to highlight government inefficiency
For this Jerit cyclists get thrown into jail
Across the country police waiting for them

And crime lords clapping hands
The police never want to catch them
Allowing them the leeway to crime
You read it
The crime index never going down
It is up and up and away!

The unfairness will be recorded
In time the BN will know
The changing scene in the country
It will happen
No doubt about it

LAKE CINI NEEDS HELP

Lake Cini
Once a beautiful sight to behold
Natural flow with birds, insects and animals
Trees, plants and flowers
When man rapes her beauty
Leaving her to die slowly

Now unsightly sorrow
Flowing into the eyes
Lake Cini is dying
Man’s folly
Of greed and close one eye

The Pahang Government
Inefficient to run Lake Cini
Allowing logging and mining activities
Destroying her natural beauty

Lack of enforcement
No serious about environment
Now Lake Cini shows her displeasure
She is dying into man’s plunders

The Federal government shouldn’t help
Using tax payers’ money for state inept administration
Let the people change the government
It is the sign enough on the plunders
Lake Cini calling out her dues

The people better wise up
Don’t get fool by sudden donations or gifts
Money seems to create havoc
Running into the environment

Go for change
Enough of 51 years of painted skin
Else don’t sweat with sorrows and tears
It is our stupidity to vote the same party again
And again; and again and now don’t cry

HILLSIDE BLUE

Hillside blue
I hear the cry
I listen to the sorrows

In the night as I walk
I can’t forget the tears
Lives lost under hilly slopes

Inept supervision
Dragging it down the slopes
Corruption on hillside blue
Close one eye let the shadows glow

Hillside blue
The breezy wind whirring along
Catching the cries blending in sorrows
When nature rocks
I hear the cry

TIME TO WAKE UP

What with the politicians?
Blaming here saying it there
Don’t they have better things to do?
Bad mouthing each other ways

The economy is turning bad
The crunch will come after March 09
Then what these politicians going to do
Thumping chests shouting like mad infected guys

One says he lays the groundwork
The other says it is through his efforts
Investments flowing into the state
Exchanging economic principles
They should forget about it
Bring the investors in
It benefits the people and country

Internally the banks seem to get away
Charging unnecessary penalties yet no politician shouting
Bring it up in Parliament or ask Bank Governor to explain
In time of financial crisis and jobs uncertainty
It is better to put a brake on it
Before it collapses around us

Don’t let landslides hamper working efforts
It will come back to ground zero
Is this what the country needs?
What with politicians and government?
Harping sexual remarks giving silly statements

Time to wake up
It isn’t child playing any more
The financial setbacks are coming
Don’t issue statements
When you don’t know what you say!

THE BLACK AND WHITE BIRDS

The black and white birds
It always comes to shit in my garden
Under the rattan chair the favorite spot
It has been going on for days

In the morning I observe
In the afternoon it comes again
I have to clean it up each time
Until I am thinking to trap them

Once it came for the miracle fruits
It took away before I could pluck it
This miracle fruit makes sour fruits sweet
Before you chew sour grapes, take a miracle fruit
It becomes so sweet for a few hours
You couldn’t believe it

Now I have the black and white birds
Flying in to take away the miracle fruits
Maybe I should trap the birds
It has become annoying to see its droppings
Under the rattan chair every morning and afternoon

THE BABY FROG

The baby frog
Leapfrog into the kitchen
Jumping in finding no way to jump out
It gets stuck hiding to get away

Under the refrigerator
Blowing hot air underneath
It can’t survive for long
It has to jump out
Into the cooler hideout

Touch light shines
Poking around
Light shining into hidden corners
The baby frog can’t be found

In the end
Jumping about in the wet kitchen
In the corner it can’t jump out
Squatting there silently
Never know when it will jump away

Finally take a sheet of newspaper
Groping it in and throw it out the window
A baby frog will live in the night
Tomorrow it is on its own

UNTIL GOD BRINGS HIS GRACE

Peace cruises in the mind
It wants to let life living well
No conflicts no persecutions
No greed no religious conflicts

Peace in the eyes
Knowing it is for the best
Living sharing needs
No differentiate in color and creed

We come from the same family tree
If the religious text says it true
Conflicts arising on greed of power
Of domination of strong against the weak

Since the day of Adam and Eve
Of nagging of encouraging
Of lies of immortality
Of daring to experiments
We have fallen from grace

Peace seems far in the mind
Conflicts returning taking us no where
Different races and religions
Intolerance unable to accept differences
Disharmony stalks us to the end

We can’t manage our affairs
Walking the road to heavens
We fight on our greed
In the end we pay dearly
Until God brings His grace
Then peace will dwell in our hearts and souls

HILLSIDE BLUES

Greed the evil in the mind
It makes it the day you fall
Into its lap screwing it tight
You live a temporary paradise
Believing you have arrived

It finds you a place
You think it is posh and quiet dwelling
Lush green misty morning
Cool breeze at night
You think you live in paradise

The underground crawling
The evil stalks the greedy
In time it rears its ugly head
There is no warning
Only loud noises and shock waves

Lives disappeared from the screen
Homes, mud and trees tumbling down
No second chance those on the path
Life flowing out in few seconds

It is worth the money buying paradise?
Know the pitfall; know the terrain
Don’t get influence by marketing tools
Life isn’t a playing game
Once you lose it, you are gone for good
So know what you are buying into

DONT BUY HILLY PROPERTIES

[landslide2.jpg]
bukit antarabangsa

Nightmares on the hill slopes
Houses constructed without proper care and control
When nature takes a cough
Disaster fall lives loss
Properties, sorrows and tears

Now who is to blame?
Finger pointing it never ends
Why buy into a death trip?
Don’t we have enough of it?

Nice view fresh air
Greed of class people live to hear
Along the streets
Surely prosperous already

Yet it is worth it?
When lives can be lost
When nature struggles to balance it
When man destroys it blatantly

On history we forget
15 years ago tragedy killed 48 people
On hill side developments
Now in between we read about it
Yet government approves
Of business profits and greed

Now do we really learn?
Don’t buy hilly properties
No matter what developers say?
Just think about lives
Living precariously never knowing when
Nature will strike and teach us lesson

IT HAPPENS EVERY DAY

What is news?
Everybody wants to know
On the streets right up to the government
In between the police and the underworld

Sharing it one shouldn’t cringe
You can’t be a miser and still think the world is good
It doesn’t rhythm in our daily lives
We need news whatever it is…………..

Sharing it amongst friends and peers
Sometimes of frustrations and bottlenecks
In the sum game to survive and fishing rods
It is news sharing amongst like minded friends

Getting angry and blowing one’s top
It isn’t sign of a good leader
A leader has to take every good and bad
Evaluate it and understand it

Knowing that humans enjoy
Passing news getting into it
Especially it is a hot topic
Dig up the news and sources
Share it all and get a few back

What is news?
A party of sharing
Write it passing around
Let the song sing
We are listening ears sharp eyes searching
Without it life will be dull
So don’t get angry
It happens every second every day

THE LAST RESORT

squeezing the employees
Downsizing, retrenchment
The workers have sleepless nights
Thinking will tomorrow bring hope or despair
When companies and plants suddenly shut down

Concerned parties will try
As the last resort to say goodbye
Holding true on its credo of corporate responsibility
The workers are the assets of any company

Then again greed and profits
The companies CEOs will protect
The workers can come and go
The companies need to survive

The rule of the game
Protect its turf
As far as it can
Workers need to let go
It has to bite the bullet

The sum game
The fittest need to survive
It’s a jungle out there
Greed and profits
Human affairs take a back seat

ATLANTUYA WAITS IN SPACE

Atlantuya still cries in her grave
Floating in the air knowing not what will be
One accused had been freed
One time lover no defense is called

He could be the main player
He holds the secrets of what gone wrong
Why Atlantuy was killed and blown to pieces
For blackmailing or demanding her commission
It was what we read in the newspapers

The two operatives must defend in the dock
What do they know just carrying out orders?
Atlantuya had gone into pieces
Justice seems so hard to find

It must go to the bottom of it
Try every legal avenue to get
The person(s) involved in her tragedy
Of money she lost her life

Atlantuya waits in space
Knowing her full justice must be paid
Killing her wasn’t to solve a problem
It makes it worst in the international relations
Justice must be fair
Find the person(s) involved
And let salvage the country’s pride
Of fair distribution under the law

EVERY ONE HAS A DREAM

Everybody has a dream
When in young, thinking of what it will be
When age takes hold of it
Some never realize
The chances disappeared

You may have about 25 years
To enrich what you want with your life
After learning the curve
The growth then maturity
It is time you would make it

Sadly not every one has a dream
Some stay behind dare not venture beyond the villages
Too afraid to risk the comfortable zones
Into the unknown of darkness

Here lies the devil
Taking souls and depressed people
The cowards and the jilted in life
Looking beyond they close one eye

The ripples of life
You never know what it will be like
Go for the adventure learn a few
Grab the opportunities
Even you fall, learn it well
Beyond there is a dream
Tempting it once again

DEVELOPER SUING

[21.jpg]
damansara 21 hillside project

Developer suing
The game of the court begins
Intimidation the game of money
Dragging the residents
Daring to challenge

Hillsides developments
The tragedies came
Lives were lost
The sorrows and tears

Damansara 21 project
Bungalow lots for the rich
The government decides to stop it
Until proper tests are carried out

Now the legal tussle
Cowing the residents
Unity will defeat the arrogant
For lives are sacred don’t destroy

HILLSIDES DEVELOPMENTS

Making it clear: Members of the pro-tem committee
(from left) Axel Tung, Michael David, Chin Teck Wah and Tan
with a banner stating their stand on the proposed hillside development.

Hillsides developments
It has come to stop
Finally the government says
We still hear the catch word

Follow the Hong Kong modal
It has done a better job there
The way of doing things are different
Here we must study and plan
Then what?

The rappers and rock and rollers
The jazz singers and pop stars
The opera singers and lion dancers
We will watch enthrall
Then what?

Now the developer wants to sue
The protestors of the hillside projects
He doesn’t learn of lives loss
He thinks about his profits
Lives are secondary consideration

The drum beat rolling
Unless we change our mindset
Understand nature ways to handle it
Don’t do profits forgetting to pay back
Else tragedies will sing its songs

WHEN WILL CONSUMERS GET THEIR RIGHTS?

IPPs the tills keep ringing
The lopsided contracts
TNB has to pay
$500 million it says
For the excess capacity

In the end the consumers foot the bills
No wonder we don’t see slashing of tariff rates
TNB doesn’t give the true picture
When the cite the cost of petrol hike

Now it is another factor
IPPs gain on the contracts
The government must seriously study it
Else the voters will decide

Maybe nationalize it
For the country and her people
No such thing as easy payments
To a few companies
At the expense of the consumers

Mind you TNB says of one IPP
There are quite a few running in the country
So the BN is feeding these companies
The people have to bear the cost
When will it end?

OUR TAX MONEY

Our tax money
Suppose to prosper the country
Improve public transport systems
Improve health care and services
Protect the innocents
Ensure crimes free on the streets

Our tax money
Running into billions
Wastage seems in spending
Enriching a few
The majority living
With tight budget and sleepless nights

Our tax money
Laying to waste in public expenditures
Look at the PM and DPM residences
It runs into millions in tax payers’ money
Renting and upkeep of properties
Why it is so?

Can’t they stay in modest homes?
Buy bungalows and live with it
It is peoples’ money they shouldn’t waste
Now we realize they want to live like kings

The perks of office
Running into millions
They don’t care
It isn’t their monies

We work so hard
Earn our income pay our taxes
Here we have government ministers
Squandered it off without a care

GOD EVERYWHERE

God everywhere
He knows, He listens, and He helps
The power of prayers
Ringing loudly in His kingdom

The oppressed and families
Suffering in unfair detention
Of the harsh intimidation
Of rules unfairly carrying out
Under orders the men in blue say
The common folks intimidated under duress

We voted for the government
Yet this is how the leaders pay us
Even the men in blue behave differently
Our tax money paying them to keep the peace
And order and crime free in our streets

We are hassled and intimidated
When we want to protest peacefully
Even in places of worship under scrutiny
Calling the committees telling them to behave
No power of praying
Now they are playing god

God everywhere
He will grant our wishes
When we honestly pray for His intervention
For His children are suffering under duress
Of lopsided treatment of laws and rules

THE GOVERNMENT FORGETS

Leaders forget
About tragedies of the past
Lives lost on collapse buildings
And they say it is act of God

So no compensation
Under the law the owners bear
Unless they can proof it is developer negligence
Then sue the company for shoddy work

The government agencies
Immunity laws help the officers
What they have done
They can’t be prosecuted in court of law

These officers escape
The clutches of death in their hands
They aren’t be held accountable
Turning quick buck forget about losses
Of lives and properties
When nature charges her fury

One minister says
It is a natural disaster
It isn’t man made negligence
A sequel of the Act of God
How stupid he thinks the public is?

Don’t buy hill slope properties
Don’t even think you get good Feng Shui
When nature rears her fury
You can only pray

The government forgets
The old record keeps playing
Nothing has changed
Lives will be lost
Unless we change them
And our perception of good living
