it is the stage show
Calling
to sweep away
The
dirt in the carpet
But
the broom gets stuck
The
bristles new but acting old
In
the scheme of plans
It
is just a staging show
Do
the sweeping charge
It
doesn't have to shout
Go
after the crooks
There
are plenty to hook
Catching
the small flyers
It
doesn't stand to record
It
is the big fishes getting away
Get
your balls hook them up
A
new broom
Shouting
out to all to hear
But
the dirt still remains

carpet still walks on it
