what's there to cry?

What's there to cry?
You know the flood is coming
Every year it makes its way
The playground once it belonged

There are months to prepare
What do the villagers do?
The high ground they don't go
They wait until the last fall

The signs of raining
It shows nature wrath is coming
The preparation has to get underway
Take your valuables start moving

What's there to cry?
For decades I hear the same story
What have been done in the past?
The attitude has not changed

Nature small footprints
It tells us to change
We have to take care of Nature
Else Nature will take us down

the greed of cheese

The rats biting
The back and front doors
The cheese coated pillars
The race for the gold

The maze the rats run in
The eyes seeing the green
Smelling of its temptation
The cheese coated strands

The running whisper
The soft breezy cry
At the doors slowly open
The rats hesitate a while

The whining doors
The dim light shine
The whiskers in the shadows
The rats run for its lives

The smell of cheese
The breezes bring
The rats stopping
Undecided what to do

The shadows of the cats
The rats know it better
But the greed of cheese
The doom lies for the rats

dance ladies dance

Dance ladies dance
Put on your dancing shoes
The party just begun
Dance through the night

You can forget about work
Leave it all behind for a while
Dance ladies dance
Let the footworks wow the night

When the music keep spinning
The sound of yesterday seems so near
The music of your years
It comes making you young again

Dance ladies dance
There is no time to waste
Put on your dancing shoes
The party just begun

the birthday girl

The cake with Barbie doll
The flickering light in her eyes
The young birthday girl smiles
The happiest moment she likes

With her grandparents
With her parents and brother
With friends in school..
The smile so sweetly flow

The picture for the photo album
It will let her know
The loving way she has enriched
In her birthday Caley will cherish

Happy Birthday Caley
From the Valley of Tin Mining
The candles flickering
The singing of birthday song

the abandoned baby boy

A young baby boy
Abandoned in a new completed shoplots
In the morning of the early sun
He cried out loudly in the air

The contractor heard it
Thinking it was stray cats
But the sound persisted
His friend went to check

He got a shock
He found a baby boy crying
On the drainage rinks
He took picture of the baby boy

Later police was called
The baby boy now in police custody
The baby boy was born 3 hours earlier
How could a mother abandon her child?

There are childless couples around
There are organizations to help
Why abandoned a child like that?
A child who hasn't committed sin yet

the unity must stay across racial line

The elected members
The people's representatives
They are given the mandate
By the people for the people

Some have forgotten
When they secured the votes
They behave like thugs or gangsters
The way they shout their way

Some become racists
Talking of one race
Everything for that nothing else
In the country of multi-racial beings

No matter which race is majority
The unity must stay across racial line
This is the nation we are born and die

This bless nation we must keep a light

God we pray

Shia and Sunni muslims
They pray to the same God
They study the same Holy Book
Learning the same scriptures

Why the fight among themselves?
Islam isn't encouraging its followers to do that
It is the work of the narrow minded leaders
They wanted to sow their greed and power

So it was after the passing of the Prophet
The division of control unleashed the greed
This was the human's power game
So it was the clashes of different opinion

Until today Shia and Sunni followers
They still go after each other belief
The wounds of centuries seem never to forget
They should open their eyes and minds

Islam is the religion of peace
They should live and enjoy the goodwill
The Holy Book has said many times over
Why they don't open up their minds?

Even in our Constitution
Islam has no designated brand to it
So it should stay that way
And other religions allowed to practise freely

It is the failure of humans
They don't walk the talk
The scriptures have written
Why make ourselves fools in God's eyes?

the regal cinema

The Regal Cinema
Once it was one of the popular ones
In the Klang where I grew up
The movies I had seen

Those were the HK movies
The sword fighting and kungfu
I could spend my pocket money
Dreaming about life in the cinema

It was also the first time I saw
The uncensored Japanese movie
Those years ago the censorship was lenient
The public could watch

The Regal Cinema
Now I guess it was in decay
The building could be standing there
Maybe something could come out of it

I had left Klang
Many decades ago
I only remember the memories
Of my school going years

the body of art

The natural scales
On the body on the light
There is nothing to worry
God's gift in its natural beauty

The artistic flow
The body of art
It comes as it gets
The natural lines

The different skin
One has to get use to it
Time will not take away
God's gift in its natural beauty

Sometimes it is different
Looking at other humans skin
What's there to worry?
The beauty lies in the heart and soul

crimes never go away

The crimes that we hear
Through the victims of crimes
Through the police report
Through the newspapers
Sometimes we read it on line
Crimes never go away
The tolls on the innocent
The police have to do a better job
One operation after another
The criminals go out to challenge
Catch me if you can!”
The layers of crime
The hardcore, the softcore
and the gentlemen
The way they hide
sometimes police can't find
The crimes that we hear
There is a victim in the neighbourhood
The police will read the statistics
And the criminals will play the game

they will be in the statistics

The young married couple
The groom 16 years the bride 15
Together they wanted to make it work
In the life of up and down

What do the young couple know?
They are too young to get married
The Syariah court shouldn't have allowed it
The statistics will stake on them

No doubt the groom will say
The married life to the end
When changes come to play
Will the young couple make it?

What are the parents thinking?
The young children got into marriage
Afraid they would commit sexual sins?
They will fall into the divorce statistics

the memory of highland towers

borrowed www.masterbuilder.com

The Highland Towers tragedy
The memories of pain and sorrow
In the air in the dust in the minds
The footprints etched in history

2 decades has gone
The tragedy of lives lost
The report made and filed
The enforcement a far cry

As usual the habits of forgetfulness
The enforcement never breathes into it
The authorities walking half awake
In between we read of other incidents

The books on law and case history
The story writes and retells the day
What the authorities do?
The authorities walking half awake

the crying of our souls

The racist here
The racist there
It will never end
The story of our nation

The religions should be free
Enshrined in the Constitution
Yet there are politicians
They wanted to make a brand

Is this the right way to go?
Changing the Constitution?
It needs 2/3 majority
Before it can be amended

The crying of our souls
The equality for every race
In pursuit of our needs
In the country of plenty

Now what have gone wrong?
It is the half past six leaders fame
They don't think far ahead
They only look at the putting game

the klang market

The Klang market
The wet and dry areas
In the morning there were the crowd
The women and some men came

Carrying rattan baskets
Some dressed well into it
The men would come as simple as they could
In the market sometimes hot and humid

The banana stalls in a row
Displaying the yellow bananas
Hanging up on the steel hooks
It liked inviting that was the plan

Behind the stalls one I visited
The banana seller used a banned substance
Those decades ago it was permitted
How many had eaten the bananas then?

Across the street there was ice making factory
The block of ice driving down the ramp
To the lorries parked near to it
The hard work the workers did

Those decades ago
I could remember the names of the fishes
The vegetables and type of bananas
Now I am back to learning ABC

The Klang market
I haven't been there since
It was just a spot in my memory

Of a place I used to hang around then

the double headed snake

The double headed snake
It lashes out its tongue to say
We aren't a racist party”
The members behaved otherwise

The illegals got citizenships
Suddenly they enjoyed the benefits
They are called malays....
Our decades of living here forgot

These illegals knew
How they could enrich themselves
The double headed snake
Lashing out for power and shame

Now we see the thugs
The wolves in sheep clothing
Smiling in hidden doors
Counting their lucky stars

The words of last effect
It sounds like a after beat drum
The main race is the double head snake
The arrows should string to the air

The web of deceit
The heavy load other people bear
It isn't good for the the overall effect
The truth will make it all irrelevant

the lazy bone

The lazy bone
The time has no value
The day and night
It is the same all the time

The noises of food and drinks
The daily dose the light of the day
The lazy bone will not walk to take
The working life it is put aside

The web of self importance
It spreads to boost the ego
The lazy bone will just do
Giving out the false pretenses

How long will it last?
When the bread earner gives up
The life of one sided flow
One day it will be lost

The lazy bone
There is no value in the eyes
It is just a parasite
Sucking out the life

the power of the medicine men

The Malay medicine men
Like those of the years before
The ancient of those times
The worshipping of their skills

They could behave like gods
They held the power over the weak
What they could do the people afraid
They gave them the noble roles

Modern history they played the roles
They gave the alternative medicines
There were those who inclined to believe
The wonders of the medicine men

They still hold court in the villages and towns
The people still flock to visit them
Believing of the cures they can get
The medicine men of today

the cycle of rain

Once it was
The water of life
The cycle of rain
Everyone could be smiling

The weather could be windy
The breezy wind whirring friendly
There was no fear of nature
It was the friendly calling

Then it changed
The end of year assessment
The water became unfriendly
The angry waves pushing in

What was wrong?
The people didn't know
Every year at this time of the year
The floods came home

The water marks in our minds
For a while we felt the pain
Of our losses in properties
Sometimes personal lost of loved ones

It was there
Then it could be forgotten
Until the next rain of events
We would start to worry

the moon faces

The line of slim bodies
Every woman wants to live
Afraid they will not look pretty
Once the age gang it up

The moon faces
The chubby flow for all to see
They forget how radiant it will be
Like the moon the rays of beauty

The eyes of the beholders
They are the ones close to you
They like what they see
What's there to worry?

The chubby faces
The moon glow for some
The line of slim bodies
Every step they start to worry

the old klang bridge 3

The old Klang bridge
In the wee hour of the morning
There was no traffic on the pedestrian crossing
Occasionally there were lovers hugging along

Who would see the action on the wee morning?
It was only the lucky few who returned home late
There they would find the hormones charged lovers
They forgot where they were...

In those days I was told
The bylaws were hardly used
The lovers could indulge a little snack
With the sound of the river cry

Besides there were the homeless
There were the drunkards sleeping on the pavement
The cooling effect of the night
Even the sun rays were shaded away

The old Klang bridge as I knew
The memories of those times gone
Now it is just a landmark in town

When you see it you hear the echo of the past

the new melody has to come

The Pied Piper says
The policies will be fair to all
Listen to his melody
There is always a hint of betrayal

Branding his roles
Spreading his melody
Instilling the one race
Divide and rule is his game

Listen to his own words
The walk never happens
The hot sun spreading rays
He feels the heat

The cake of the nation
It isn't distributed fairly
The way it is done
The downfall will come

No one will live forever
The nature of things or lives
It has come to its end
The signs are there now

The new melody has to come
The way forward to fairness to all
There shouldn't be any discrimination
In the country of many races and religions

gays are God's children too

Death comes
There is no escape route
When the day has arrived
When the name is called

Amno delegates on gays
Don't try to hit the wrong
Gays are God's children too
They are humans like you and me

It is the taste of different origin
It is through mistake in formation
This is the testing of faith
Where is your love and compassion?

We pray everyday
Asking for forgiveness
About our sins in our lives
Then you forget about prayers?

Amno is imploding
The way the members behave
Brewing of single race
They think they are great!

The signs are there
The speeches and behaviour
The body languages in public
God is watching you!

Death comes
There is no special benefit
We are here to learn lessons of life
Don't fail it when the time is called

the river flows

The river flows
The naked eyes will watch
The floating debris and all
Discarded down carry away

Along the way
Some will get stucked
Some will get hooked up
Some will be bagged

The nature good angels
They come to clean up the mess
Of the things throwing into the river
Clogged the flow a crying shame

The easy flow
The river welcomes the change
For a while the eyes can see
Until the bad hats come again

they forget about helping others

They pray every day
Asking God for guidance and bounties
Asking God to show mercy of their sins
Asking God to pardon their ungratefulness

Out of the domain of God
The behaviour patterns change
They forget what they asked
They forget about helping others

A young adult was caught
He stole money in the mosque
The donation box for charity
The group of men caught him

Instead to hand him over to the authority
The group of men punched him
Showing no mercy until the young man died
What were they thinking?

The young man had emotional problem
He lost his mother a few months back
He didn't what to do....
He just needed money to survive

The group of men
The religious flow they forgot
They were willing to take a life
What were they thinking?

The police shouldn't show mercy
There was no compassion from the men
The poor young man died for his stupid act
Stealing money maybe he needed to survive

share the fruits of our nation

The Amno baru assembly
The rhetoric speeches again
They want the money
Only for the Amno Malays

Bearing in mind
There are Pas Malays
There are PKR Malays
There are DAP Malays
There are other Malays
All these Malays
Aren't they are part of democracy?
They are entitled to the fruits of the nation

So Amno baru Malays forget
The other Bumiputras and non-Malays
They are part of the nation building
They pay the highest taxes to the country
They are not entitled to the wealth of the nation?

The sooner we bury the Amno baru
The better the country will be
The people will enjoy the fruits equally
With new compassionate and politically matured leaders

Right now we have to mend our pockets
The holes will be plenty to stitch together
The costs and taxes will come in the New Year
There is nothing much to celebrate
