the black and white bird

The daze the haze
The maze surrounding
The black and white bird
The dizzy world it sees

Hopping on its two claws
Running nowhere to free
Hiding under the car
Seeking for a way out
It has no success

It flies aimlessly
Into the ginger plant to hide
Then it disappears out of sight
Around the garden there is no sign

A while later it appears
Amongst the potted plants
The black and white bird
The daze the haze

Lucky for the bird
There is no stray cat taking a short cut
It can be a breakfast satisfying catch
Finally it is caught put in cage

In a daze it is
It doesn't know its bearing
A while release it
It flies a short distance
Knock on the window panes
In a daze once more
Put it back in the cage

Now sitting quietly
No whistling song to hear
Drinking water bearing appears
Then it will be released
With a photograph for memory
A day a black and white bird caught
The daze the maze
