we are our own slaves

Technology makes it easy
Money too going to pay
Stressing you out too
Emotionally drained when it happens
Red flags flaring up
Unannounced

Calling the service providers
Ringing tones no human soul listening
Recording messages to guide you
We think of new modern gadgets
We become slaves to it

When it goes on strikes
We scream silently
We feel we are lost
The gadgets get into our lives
Living without it
We can't move our lives
Even working slowing down
Go to a bank
When the machines break down
No work put up a sign
“Out of line!”

We are the modern slaves
Of the modern gadgets on display
Taking it home using it
We are hooked

The good part
Every one is connected
Though no human touches
We think we can fly
