slum by the waters in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
The black night
The dim light glow
A sad tale who's fault?
When facing the death row?
Poor and broken homes
Children; society hardly notice
I knew how life could be in
I was there living it through
The constant struggles
The dreams only just dreams
Getting out to greener pastures
Every one hopes to get in
When once you crossed the line
Of death penalty and greed
Life of one is finally sold
It is better to be poor and alive!
There is no short cut to wealth
One has to work hard and earn it through
Though the poor may think it is hopeless
Knowing how society look upon.....
It is sad to learn
The hard fact of life
Money rules in our lives
But it mustn't be the consummate one
The dim light glow
A sad tale who's fault?
When facing the death row?
Poor and broken homes
Children; society hardly notice
I knew how life could be in
I was there living it through
The constant struggles
The dreams only just dreams
Getting out to greener pastures
Every one hopes to get in
When once you crossed the line
