The old mining pond near the market
It has become the dumping ground for many
It seems the drainage outlets flow into it
As the years gone into its place
Sometimes people come to fish
In the pond hoping to get some fishes
They stand for hours hoping for the bites
Maybe there are no fishes to share
Years ago it could be the dumping ground
The dead animals to say the last goodbye
There are iguanas swimming around the mining pond
Searching for food what else to move around
Now the contractors dump cement and concrete
Those houses under renovation works.........
The town council tractor pushing into the pond
The mining pond should be reclaimed quickly
In the night along the market area
Older people will ease themselves
Who will want to complain?
The old people sitting in the gazebo
The mining pond the tin had gone
Leaving the big crater now as a pond
Nothing has been done for decades
Now the collecting rubbish from the hawkers
