the little birdies fly

The shortest hours
The little birdies stay
In the bird's cage before release
They fly around in the cage

The exercise makes them strong
Within hours they could fly
In the cage before going out to its world
Of the wide space in the open

The tweeting loudly
The parenting birds wait
Knowing it's time to go
Watching the carrot and stick

The parenting birds enticing the little birdies
Tweeting away flying through and fro
With food on its beaks to show
“Come fly with me to our world!”

The flapping wings
The sound of eager tweeting
The little birdies fly in the cage
They want to see the open space

The cage door opens
The little birdies fly away
Flapping wings to the trees
Happily tweeting with its parenting birds

Only one birdie stays behind
It can't fly high to the trees
It takes short flight lands on the ground
Many times it tries but it fails to fly

Now sleeping on branches of bamboo trees
The parenting birds never come to feed
They want the little bird to fly quickly
“No food if you don't fly right now!”

Tomorrow another day
The last birdie should take flight
Else it may suffer its pang of hunger
For the parenting birds make it clearly
