The dark on the stairways
The young boy waits what shadowy smile
He has seen in movies
Children run and hide
The dim light shadows
The reflection of innate objects
Casting long cool shadows
He is afraid to climb up stairs
The fear in his eyes
The mind freezes to understand
There is nothing to worry
On the stairs of sleeping dreams
The small steps he walks
Listening to the squeaky echo
His eyes darting every corner
Of shadows and his night phobia
When he reaches to the top
He is drenched in sweat of trying
Now he knows he has to make the show
The fear is only in his mind
The dark on the stairways
“You don't make me scared any more
I have conquered my night on the steps
It's time you can go home”
