The yellow tees
The people told not to wear
You would be charged
For wearing it!
So funny wasn't it?
The blue got running
Catching the yellow
For the government declared
It is illegal to wear or distribute
Even distributing leaflets an offense
The blue would not let you go
So what now with yellow?
It has become a signal
Of civil march for clean and fair election
In practicing democracy
The rights of the people must be upheld
Under the Constitution which runs supreme
Now the people realize
The bad management runs its course
Instead of engaging with the people
The blue and government use under-hand tactics
They want to cow the people
For intimidation and threats work for a while
When the people realize what ills the country
There is no way the authority can clamp down on them
The yellow on the traffic lights
The blue and government should stop a while
Listen to the people voices and concern
Do not brush them off as a nuisance
It isn't bad policy to engage the people
The representatives to air complaints
Just remember people are the bosses
Don't forget they are the kings in the ballot boxes
The yellow runs its course
Much publicity all in the wrong perception
By the government, the blue and the newspapers
And the cronies harping onto the wagons
The silly excuses of losing millions
When it is on a weekend Saturday at 2.00pm
The King had spoken
His concern for the people and country
The organizers will make a decision
An honor for the King
In the city
The dwellers express concerned
About the make believe charges
Invented by the blue
In the typical roadside stalls
The men on the streets explore
“Yellow is banned
Even the word is”
“Yeah wearing it
The jail term automatically
What has the country gone to?”
“They want fair and clean election
What's wrong with that crusade?
“Yeah unless somebody doesn't want
He wants to play a game of hide and seek”
“I don't know about you guys
We have been fooled many times
Living with the slogans
They didn't hold anything to the government leaders
They just wanted us to believe”
“Now see what we got?
The blue intimidates the people
Though they should read the Constitution”
The night breezes blowing
Though the air is humid and hot
The people in the stalls
They have their drinks and food
Sharing thoughts and jokes
About yellow and the scare tactics
Now the night is set
The people waves goodbye
Leaving the stalls thinking of latest news
The double sided languages
The favoritism brings unfair view
The blues don't care
They want the people to stay at home
Watching televisions and do what you please
Do not come out to participate
The jail is open waiting for inmates
So watch the steps before you go in
For the blues hide every where
