the narrabeen lake

The Narrabeen lake
The swampy trees and shades
The rolling ripples catching water
The soft cool breezes sing

Standing by the tree
The arm of branches stretching long
The brown and green leaves waving
Some floating down to the ground

The backdrop of Nature
There she poses to her world
Smiling the joyous day
The cool weather rustling through

The heavy load she leaves behind
The holiday she flies across oceans
There she will see her reflection
By the lake the cooling wind whispering

The sound of carefree wind
A soft chill waving at it
The waving lines on the lake
If you know her she is my niece
