Every state has Syariah Law

Passed by the State Assembly

But Kelantan takes a step further

It makes its own criminal charges

The Constitution is the Supreme Law

Crafted by our forefathers to govern the nation

Any Syariah Law is subservient to the Constitution

It never should be the star in our criminal law

But Kelantan takes a step further

Hudud law currently shouldn't be applied

The nation hasn't come to the junction yet

Every Islamic faith thinks it should

But deep inside who has the authority to decide?

But Kelantan takes a step further

God's law can't be decided by humans

They don't have the capacity to understand

With past incidents the religious officials can't handle it

It becomes a lord over the slaves

But Kelantan takes a step further

Every religion has its religious laws

The other faiths don't make it to be a draconian law

It lets the members decide to do good or evil

For they will face the Maker on Judgement Day

For religion is a private affair with God

But Kelantan takes a step further

The clerics want to see the suffering of the people

They don't see the value of kindness, compassion or forgiving

Taking lives or inflicting pain and sorrow isn't a way to life

Religious law leaves it to the faithfuls facing God in time
